Our overall mission has not changed since our inception; the acronym R.I.C.H; Reach, Impact, Change, Heal lives with the word of truth through the power of the Holy Ghost. Our focus is building the spiritual man in Jesus, strengthening families, and connecting with our community by having a viable and relevant church. Programs like Real Talk for families; BAC to BAC for Spiritual growth for all ages; and Care to Life ministry serving our community where we can.
To see everyone regardless of color, culture, or background, transformed by the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ into a new life, a new walk, unto a new destiny, prepared spiritually for the call of God in our lives.
Pastor Larry Daughtry
I am a native of Columbus, Georgia, while my wife hails from the city of Chicago, Illinois. We arrived in Tacoma via the United States Air Force where we met, married, and began our lives together that has flourished for 44 years. We are the parents of two children, and 6 grandchildren.
I served my country honorably for 40 years with the Air Force from 1973 – 2015. While serving at McChord AFB, WA. From 1974 – 2015 many wonderful things happen for me, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Sociology, got married, and received my calling to the ministry. I am yet married, yet in the ministry, yet using my degree to help families/person help themselves to thrive and have an enriched life.
After being in the ministry 25 years, I felt the Lord Jesus pulling me toward being a Pastor. The doors of New Beginning opened December 5, 2004. Our mission is to make R.I.C.H. – (Reach, Impact, Change, Heal lives with the word of truth the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.)
Since our inception many lives have been impacted for the good. The love of God is our fuel to continue to move forward to make a difference in our community, our society, our home. We invite you to come experience the indescribable love of God that heal lives.
